Sometimes, you need to update/edit the DNS number in order for your site is up. Do this step only after setting your domain to the corrected nameservers but the website still haven’t shown up.
First of all, you need to go to where your hosting is to get the IP address; login your hosting account, then go to hosting section and locate the IP address number (usually it’s located at the topmost in Server Details section) and copy it down. For example, if you have a shared hosting at Godaddy, you need to login into Godaddy account –> hosting section –> click Launch; at the hosting screen, look down right, locate the server details
Next, you need to go to domain name registrar.
Step 1: Login your domain name registrar account, for example, 1and1.
Step 2: Click on Domain, then a screen of domain list is up.
Step 3: Click on the domain name you want to change.
Step 4: Click DNS
Step 5: Click Edit DNS setting
Step 6: At the Basic DNS Setting, change to 1&1 nameser
Step 7: At Advanced DNS Settings, click Other IP Address.
Step 8: Change it to the corrected number.
